Virtual Affairs collaborates with Tjommie Foundation

The Tjommie Foundation supports children living in South-African townships. These children are often confronted with traumatic experiences such as violence, abuse or malnutrition. Tjommie starts by giving them access to primary needs like clean drinking water, good nutrition and a safe home, but also offers them activities like singing, dancing and sports. Tjommie projects take an integrated approach to ending poverty by helping children live instead of survive.

Virtual Affairs has been collaborating with Tjommie for several years now. Robin Peters, our director says, “When you see the conditions in which these children are living, you can’t stand by and do nothing. We are happy to be able to support Tjommie in several ways – by designing and developing their website and by organising fundraising activities. Last year, we were able to contribute to a well that will provide clean drinking water to 2.000 families. We are happy to be able to make a contribution to this great initiative.”
