Transparent online insurance

Considerable dissatisfaction with insurers and banks inspired Fortis to the launch a new online Insurance company, Ditzo. Ditzo represents an insurance without fine printed conditions, rules and unexpected disclaimers.

Challenge: user-friendly e-commerce insurance platform

Ditzo asked Virtual Affairs to develop a website in accordance to the goals and image of the new organization. The end-user has to be able to easily request new, or change existing, insurance policies with fully automated acceptance and calculation processes.


Approach: interaction design and integration with mid- and back-office systems

Virtual Affairs has drawn on its extensive expertise in the insurance industry for this project. has been constructed from scratch, using new systems and partners. We developed the interaction designs for the funnel and the personal dashboard ‘Mijn Ditzo”. Furthermore we integrate the mid- and back-office systems with the Client Relation Centre. All this is delivered based on Microsoft .NET and Web Services technology.


Result: clear and transparent

Virtual Affairs delivered Ditzo a user-friendly and transparent website. On clients can, without third party interference, apply for new insurance products and manage their existing policies.
