Knowledge Platform for Electromagnetic Fields

The Knowledge platform for Electromagnetic fields and Health (Kennisplatform Elektromagnetische Velden) is a government initiative to stimulate a discussion, based on facts and scientific research, about electromagnetic fields and their effect on humans.

Business question: create a website and an extranet platform for cooperation and knowledge sharing

There are several opinions about the effect of electromagnetic fields on humans. The following organizations participate in the knowledge platform: RIVM, TNO, GGD’S, Agentschap Telecom and Zon Mw. The extranet will facilitate the collaboration between these organisations.

The cooperation between the different parties leads to common and scientific positions, which are then published on the website. Everybody can read these bulletins and share his or her opinion on www.kennisplatform.nl.

Microsoft SharePoint , Microsoft .NET and SiteFinity

For members of the Knowledge platform, Virtual Affairs developed an extranet discussion and knowledge platform and an intranet, based on SharePoint 2007. We built the public website using the SiteFinity CMS system and Microsoft .NET.
