Online Disability Insurance

Bank and insurer ING was the first to introduce the online Disability insurance (AOV). The product is aimed at the business market and the self-employed. Through the new ING website, new insurances can be directly entered into agreement.

Challenge: Client website

In modern business and working with modern self-employed people, a present-day sales channel as the internet shows a perfect fit. ING asked Virtual Affairs to develop a website where clients and prospects can, fully independently, select, contract and manage new and existing Disability Insurances. The challenge mostly lies in the acceptance, as this process needed to be supported fully automatically.

Approach: Simple online premium calculation

Virtual Affairs constructed a new part for the existing website, that can also be deployed by ING as an independent website. The solution directly calculates the insurance premiums based on several insurance components. This is done by website visitors by easy to use forms in their personal environment: www.mijnaovdirect.nl

Result: Digital health declaration

Virtual Affairs delivered a first-timer in the Netherlands for ING: The digital health declaration. Clients and prospects can directly contract new Disability Insurances online. Additionally the insured can change his or her data online and report any claim online.
