Holland’s own Heineken, one of the leading beer brands in the World, enables consumers to design a fully customized beer bottle. Nothing beats the thrill of placing a self made picture or image on your favorite longneck beer bottle

Challenge: Technical realization for online customization.

The website JouwHeineken was in need of an upgrade. It was already possible for consumers to create their own beer bottles with existing designs. Heineken requested Virtual Affairs to look in to possibilities for consumers of uploading their own images and pictures so that they could customize their designs even more. Besides consumers; Heineken wants to aim its customization service towards the corporate market.

Approach: Guiding the visitor

Virtual Affairs used Microsoft.Net technology for the technical realization of JouwHeineken. This platform comprises the web shop, which guided visitors – both companies and consumers- through the design and ordering process. Design agency Fitzroy was responsible for the design.

Result: Empowering website for the beer drinker

The newly improved JouwHeineken.nl has already been launched. Consumers and organizations can now create customized bottle designs with great ease. Companies often choose for a design with the company logo to use as give a ways for important relations and employees. Consumers often use a self-made image or one of the many themes that are available, such as father’s day and queen’s day themes.
