Design you own Heineken Longneck

On the newest Heineken website Heineken, www.jouwheineken.nl you can design and order your own 6-pack Longneck.

Business question: back-end for personalised Longneck

The aim was to develop the back-end for a website where you can design your bottle online, ordering it and manage your own profiles. The designs on Internet are converted to printable (high resolution) PDF’s which are then printed on a large scale.

Solution: Microsoft .NET technology

Together with Heineken and other partners, Virtual Affairs created this original and interactive website.
We were responsible for the back-end, that:

supports a big part of the whole logistic process (payment and fulfilment)
supports the customer service centre

The back-end is developed using:

.NET Framework 3.5
ASP.Net
AJAX.Net
PDF Generation.

We used also SQL Server 2005 for the Database Engine and the Reporting Services.
